Pipeline aging and corrosion issues——
Material and environmental corrosion: Pipe Conveyor Systems are corroded by soil, moisture, stray current, etc. for a long time. In particular, steel pipes are prone to external corrosion, while internal corrosion causes thinning of the pipe wall due to the composition of the medium. Although direct evaluation of external corrosion and direct evaluation of internal corrosion have been widely used, the detection accuracy is still limited in areas with poor conductivity or areas with serious stray current interference. Traditional detection methods (such as CIPS and DCVG) rely on manual inspections and indirect analysis, which are difficult to cover hidden defects; new technologies such as transient electromagnetic (TEM) and ultrasonic guided waves have improved efficiency, but are not adaptable enough to complex laying environments.

Insufficient intelligent monitoring and emergency response——
Real-time monitoring gap: The old pipeline network lacks intelligent sensors and relies on regular manual inspections, making it difficult to detect leaks in time. Although Chongqing Gas Group has introduced drone inspections and laser leak detection vehicles, such technologies have not yet been fully popularized, and there are still monitoring blind spots in remote or complex terrain areas.
Emergency linkage efficiency: Insufficient rapid cut-off and evacuation capabilities for emergencies. For example, the testing and maintenance standards for emergency cut-off devices for gas valves are not uniform, and some equipment has the risk of refusal or misoperation, which affects the speed of emergency response.
